Founding History

In early 2015, the Thai government recognized the importance of electric vehicle (EV) technology and began implementing concrete policies to promote the use of electric vehicles in the country.

With support from the government, academic institutions, and the private sector, discussions and collaborations led to the establishment of the Thai Electric Vehicle Association on September 14, 2015, at the Knowledge Exchange (KX) Building, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). The association was officially registered on November 6, 2015.

The association aims to be a knowledge hub and center of collaboration in Thailand’s electric vehicle industry, promoting technological development and driving the industry towards sustainability.
